Institute of Social Studies - Faculty of Law

The institute of Social Studies and the faculty of Law belong to the Faculty of Social Sciences in the University of Tartu.

The issues around children's rights are most dealt in these two institutions.

Education:

  • A course 'Introduction to Children's Rights' is a part of a master's program in Law
  • A course 'Children's rights and wellbeing' is a part of a master's program of Social Work and Social Policy.
  • A teaching module Children's rights and well-being' is taught as optional for the master's students of Social Work and Social Policy.
    Besides the above mentioned two courses the module also contains a course Work with children and families and Introduction to Human Rights. The students choosing this module should also make a field practice.
    This module is taught jointlywith the Institute of Social Studies and the Faculty of Law.
